Getting Started

What's included in the Starter plan?
The Starter plan includes: domain registration + renewal included, professional email forwarding (info@yourbusiness.com), hosting + SSL + CDN, a custom site design built for your trade, AI-searchable structured data and schema markup for service areas, and 1 basic change request per month. We handle all the technical setup so you can focus on your work.
What's included in the Growth plan?
Growth includes everything in Starter plus: unlimited small updates, a platform presence audit, citation submissions to free directories, AI search tracking and monitoring, a monthly/quarterly report with actionable recommendations, review monitoring (flagging issues and drafting responses), and 1 blog post per quarter.
How long does setup take?
Most sites are live within 3–5 business days. We'll reach out once to gather your business details (logo, photos, services, contact info), then build and launch everything. No back-and-forth marathons.
Do I need to do anything technical?
No. We handle everything — domain setup, hosting, SSL certificates, and ongoing maintenance. If you're migrating from another host, we handle the DNS transfer too. The only thing we'll ask of you is your business info and any photos you want on the site.

Email

How does professional email work?
We provision a professional email address at your domain (e.g. info@yourcompany.com) via Cloudflare Email Routing. Inbound mail is forwarded to your existing personal email — you don't need to log into a new inbox. For sending, we provide SMTP credentials you can use with Gmail, Outlook, or your phone's mail app so replies come from your business address.
Can I keep my existing email address?
Yes. Your professional email address simply forwards to whatever email you already use. You keep your Gmail, Yahoo, or other account — you just also get a business address that looks more professional to customers.
How do I send emails from my business address?
We'll send you SMTP credentials you can add to Gmail ("Send mail as"), Outlook, or your phone's native mail app. Once configured, you can send emails that show "From: you@yourcompany.com" while still using the mail client you're familiar with.

Website

Can I see my site before I pay?
Yes. We build a preview site at a temporary URL for you to review before anything goes live. You'll be able to check every page, request changes, and only approve it when you're happy. Payment is collected at sign-up, but you have full approval rights before the site goes live on your domain.
How do I request changes?
Just email us at hello@hammerseal.com or use the chat widget. Describe what you want changed — we'll handle it and let you know when it's done, typically within 1–2 business days.
What counts as a "basic change"?
Basic changes are things like updating your phone number, address, services list, adding a new photo, or tweaking copy. Design overhauls or entirely new pages may be scoped separately — just ask and we'll let you know before doing any work.

Billing

How do I update my payment method?
Log in to your account, go to Billing, and click "Manage Subscription." This opens the Stripe billing portal where you can update your card, view invoices, and manage your subscription — all securely handled by Stripe.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, you can cancel at any time from your account's Billing page. Your service continues until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. No cancellation fees, no runaround.
Is there a contract?
No contracts, no minimum commitment. We're month-to-month. We believe the service should earn your continued business every month — not lock you in.

Migration

What happens to my old website?
Once your new HammerSeal site is ready and approved, we update your domain's DNS records to point to us. Your old host still runs briefly during the transition (usually 24–48 hours for DNS propagation), after which you can cancel it. We'll give you the all-clear signal when it's safe to do so.
Will my email go down during the switch?
Not if we do it in the right order. We set up your email routing before changing the website DNS, so email stays live throughout. We have a step-by-step migration playbook we follow for every customer to make sure nothing goes down.
When can I cancel my old hosting?
We'll tell you explicitly when it's safe. In general, wait until: (1) your new site is confirmed live at your domain, (2) email is confirmed working end-to-end, and (3) at least 48 hours have passed since DNS propagation completed. We'll send you a "you're good to cancel" message.
